Got to visit a favourite place today, a special dr Got to visit a favourite place today, a special drum and bag wanted to accompany me. I sat at the Dolmen an drummed. How lovely it was to escape the city. #reginaoftheland
Plenty of joy today as i got to visit the Botanic Plenty of joy today as i got to visit the Botanic Gardens on Dublin as its within my 5km. I took my time as i soaked myself in the beauty of nature. It was lovely to see the families with young children enjoying exploring the grounds in the lovely sunshine. It was wonderful to say hello to an old friend, a magnificent oak, I so needed that trip to nature today. What ever you got up to today I hope it was lovely. #reginaoftheland
Lockdown learning can be interesting. As we are cu Lockdown learning can be interesting. As we are currently in lockdown here in Ireland and i find myself with actual time on my hands, i decided to tackle a few jobs that i had put on the long finger. One of which involved me fitting a new skirting board in the hall, however there were nails sticking out of the wall which i had to remove. No problem! or so I thought, my trusty hammer had been a well used tool and had served me well. Ehh, not on this occasion, no brute force would extract those nails it broke my hammer. I had to use different approach, a fiddly hack saw blade and plyers. I felt the frustration of not being able to do it the way i always do, along with using tools i dont normally use. So it was a case of learning to work smarter not harder and to retire the hammer 😉 #reginaoftheland
Walking the other day (within my 5km) as we are st Walking the other day (within my 5km) as we are still in lockdown here in Ireland I was struck by the beauty of this rose bud. The weather was damp, cold and windy, yet regardless of that weather this rose bud was doing what it does naturally which is grow and prepare to blossom. My question to you is, where are you growing? And are you aware of the beauty of that growth?

If you think you may get some insights from a podcast, please consider checking out the podcast healing for healers, its by Abby Wynne and I, the link is in the bio. #reginaoftheland
Today was a sad day, we laid to rest my Aunt Pauli Today was a sad day, we laid to rest my Aunt Pauline (far right) and my Mum (far left) Taken 1955. Mum left us 6mths ago, her only sibling Pauline passed peacefully last week. Pauline’s funeral was today, we placed Mums urn on top of Pauline’s coffin as they joined their parents in the ground. They were close in life as in death. Funeral rites are an integral part of Irish Culture, an Irish funeral is place for celebrating their life, warts, and all. To have both pass during COVID lockdowns and not be able to hold the traditional wake or send off has been a lesson in acceptance. Travel onwards Pauline and Mildred. #RIP #Reginaoftheland
Beauty in your own back yard has come to the fore Beauty in your own back yard has come to the fore today. We are restricted to 5 kilometres to travel here in Ireland due to the pandemic, finding different walks over the past 10 mths have been a great learning process for me. One of my favourite walks is along by the Liffey in the morning time. Starting out in the dark usually, then watching how the city comes alive with colour and energy. This morning as I walked toward the docks here in Dublin I was taking immense joy from the colourful scene that unfolded before my eyes. This photo does not capture its true magnificence, it was like visiting the national Gallery and admiring some famous painters creation. Todays learning, don’t discount the beauty of your own back yard. #reginaoftheland #nofilter
Solstice Blessings to each and everyone around the Solstice Blessings to each and everyone around the world today. Am back from a glorious day on the land in the company of wonderful friends. Yes it was a damp solstice morning in the Boyne Valley, it couldn’t dampen our spirits. As we traversed the land paying respects to the ancestors, i spent sunset drumming at Uisneach. My heart is full and very grateful for the much needed laughter, craic, food and friendship. A powerful combination indeed to welcome in the return of the light. #reginaoftheland
You may or may not have realised that i had retrea You may or may not have realised that i had retreated from social media for a few weeks. I was listening to my body and felt i needed to go inwards to process the previous 12 months. To also prepare for the return of the light at Solstice. I chose the above photo as it reminds me of the ancestors waiting for the light to shine into the chamber at Newgrange. I am delighted that @abbynrghealing and i had the wonderful Treasa from @sacredsitesofireland on our podcast this week to discuss the solstice and the mythology associated with Newgrange. The podcast is called Healing for healers and the link is in my bio. #reginaoftheland
Today is Samhain, our ancestors celebrated this mi Today is Samhain, our ancestors celebrated this mid point between the Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice based on the sun. This was the start of the new year, it was marked by the rising Sun illuminating the back wall of The Mound of Hostages on the Hill of Tara. This mound is over 5,000 years old. It is a very special place. I talk with @abbynrghealing about what Samhain means to me on our podcast Healing for Healers, the link is in my bio if it interests you. #reginaoftheland
As Samhain/Halloween approaches i can feel the ene As Samhain/Halloween approaches i can feel the energies of slowing down and going inwards. Here in Ireland we are in a lockdown for the next 5.5 weeks. This is an opportunity to slow down and to contemplate what has transpired over the past 12 months. Its also a time of remembering those who have passed with fondness and stories. On that note there is a new episode about Samhain/Halloween on our podcast, Its my thoughts and observations around this time of year. Enjoy if you feel called. Equinox Blessings to everyone around the world. H Equinox Blessings to everyone around the world. Here in Ireland it’s the Autumn Equinox, from this point of balance between equal day and night the daylight retreats and the darkness of the night expands. The light steadily retreats until Solstice on the 21st of December. As we tend to still rush around, remember our ancestors used the coming days of darkness to reflect on the year past and relax around a fire and tell stories. 2020 has been a year like no other, be gentle on yourself and find creative ways to bring balance to your world. My favourite equinox spot is Loughcrew Cairns where the sun shines into the chamber for a few days around Equinox for over the past 5 thousand years. Sadly this Cairn is closed to the public as its unsafe, I cannot physically enter like I have many times before, yet my shadow can. #reginaoftheland

Its been over half a year since i was able to travel for a weekend away, i feel very fortunate to be able to travel and visit with a dear friend. My friends have been fantastic support for me over the previous year. Dont be afraid to ask for help and support when you need it. I did and i am very greatful for what came my way. Blessings & gratitude ❤️
Last weekend my Mum passed, peacefully, and in exa Last weekend my Mum passed, peacefully, and in exactly the way she wanted. At home, after been cared for by Dad and I. The journey to this point has been intense, navigating her needs and the restrictions in place due to the pandemic. We held a private family funeral yesterday, she is now very much at peace. The family are truly grateful for how everything fell into place. Yet sometimes I needed a sledgehammer to get them to fit! She fought a tough tough battle with cancer over the past 16 months and her sheer will and determination shone through, right to the very end. She is now very much at peace. I would consider myself lucky to claim a fraction of her determination and resilience, I am my mothers daughter ❤️ #rip
Solstice Blessings to everyone around the world fr Solstice Blessings to everyone around the world from the Hill of Tara this morning. It was a beautiful serene setting as a smattering of people waited to greet the rising sun, like our ancestors have done for thousands of years. The world has changed immeasurably since Winter solstice, now my thoughts must go to what the next 6 months holds till next Solstice. May you all be kept safe and well as we face the darkening of the days till Winter Solstice here in Ireland. Blessings to all. #reginaoftheland
Feeling blessed today. The sun is shining and i w Feeling blessed today. The sun is shining and i was able to travel to the National Botanical Gardens here in Dublin. They opened up after being closed for many weeks. This is a place that I started to come to 25yrs ago for peace and solitude. Here is where i met a special friend, a great big Oak Tree. We spent many an hour in each others company through the years. Today as i leaned up against him and paid my respects, i exhaled and inhaled the beauty around me. There was a beautiful freshness after the gales, nature is so resilient, that was my lesson today. Resilience #reginaoftheland
Bealtaine Blessings to everyone today around the w Bealtaine Blessings to everyone today around the world. According to the stars the exact date of Bealtaine this year is May 5th. I was looking through my photos looking for one to post to signify what the energy feels like for me currently. Today the energy feels like a threshold, like there are no gates between the worlds. So this photo from the Sacred Bealtaine site of Uisneach felt very appropriate today. Even though we cannot currently travel to these sites in the physical world, I get great pleasure visiting them in the dreamtime. While we stay safe in the physical world, we can always travel in the virtual or spirit world. #reginaoftheland
Today was a special day. Gary would of been 60 ye Today was a special day. Gary would of been 60 years on this earth, his funeral was two years ago to the day. He was quite the character, a healer who loved Hawaiian huna along with many other modalities. So to celebrate , I along with other friends gathered virtually to tell stories, laugh, have cake, wear his Hawaiian shirts and celebrate all aspects of Gary. His work was finished here, he continues to bring laughter and joy through friendship and memories. Thank you to those who celebrated in one form or another today. #reginaoftheland #cakeforksalute
